I have been using Seroquel for almost 4 years now. I have been on it for 2 years and am not sure if it is right for me. The only major side effect I experienced was an increase in my mood. I did have to stop it because of the increase in the blood sugar so I took another medicine which was better for me than Seroquel. The only negative thing was the increase in my appetite so I went back to my regular diet. After a week I feel better and the only side effect is my weight gain. I am now using Seroquel 4 times per month and have gained 40 pounds since starting it so I am hoping it works and I can stop this new medication.
Mostly I am not a fan of switching to generic versions of Seroquel. I have gained weight and it hasnt helped my depression. I have taken it for a long time so I have not gained as much weight as I used to. I still use Seroquel and have gained almost 40 pounds. My doctor has told me to not take it and to not stop taking it. I am scared to take it again because I have been on it for 2 months and I have gained almost 20 pounds. I have not been able to lose weight either. I would like to stop taking it but I also would like to eat more and have more energy. I have not gained so much weight in the past and I am not sure how long it will take me to work out what the problem is. I would not want to be the only one who has gained so much weight but I would like to have no one to share the news with. I have been on it for about a year and I am afraid that I will never see the light of day again. My doctor has put me on a low dose of Seroquel and I am feeling fine. I do have a weight problem but I do not think I am having any weight loss in the past. The only side effect that I experienced was increase in my mood. I do not want to lose so much weight or be the only one who has. I am not sure if I am having any side effects, I am just concerned that I may not see any results in the next few months. I will continue to take it. Any help would be appreciated!

SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet contains the active ingredient quinolone antibiotics. Quinolone antibiotics are used to treat infections of the heart (heartworm, for example, in immunosuppressed patients), skin (tumour cells from certain types of cancer), kidneys, or the liver (liver function test results). SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet is used to treat conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia (hyperglycemia). SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney or liver problems and in patients with an active heart or lung problem. Do not use with drugs that may cause lactic acidosis (a serious condition that can cause symptoms such as a smelly discharge, cough, and feeling like you might pass out). If your condition persists or worsens, stop taking quinolone antibiotics and contact a doctor immediately. This medication should be used under medical supervision. Consult your doctor before taking quinolone antibiotics if: you are allergic to any of the antibiotics; you are pregnant, trying, or if you are breastfeeding; you are taking guanylate cyclase stimulators (such as Adempas; cyclosporin) such as rifabutin, rifampin, or fosphenytoin; you have been told by your doctor that you have an increased risk of myocardial infar-ringing (heart attack; stroke) or stroke in your blood; you have a history of bladder cancer; you have experienced a stroke in as little as 3 days; or you have a heart attack or heart failure within 3 months of heart bypass surgery. You should not take SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet if you have unexplained muscle aches, joint pain, shortness of breath, or tightness in your hands, ankles, or feet. SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet can increase the risk of developing bladder cancer. Before taking SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet, tell your doctor if: you have, or are at risk for; a prior history of, or suspected of having, kidney or liver problems; or an active heart or lung problem such as kidney or liver problems. SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet may increase the risk of developing bladder cancer. Do not use SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet if you have been told by your doctor that you have an increased risk of developing bladder cancer. Your doctor will decide the appropriate dose for you depending on your medical condition. Tell your doctor if the medicine makes you feel dizzy. Alcohol or marijuana may increase the effect of SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet and make you feel less alert and more relaxed. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness or clear vision until you have discussed the risks of using SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet with your doctor. Your doctor will do most of the management of your condition with you. SEROQUEL 200 MG Oral Tablet is not for use in children. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
